Furious Florence Forcing Re-Scheduling of the We Read the Constitution Event to Saturday, October 13 at Jackson Park

Tea Time Cancelled Thursday, Sept 13th at IHOP.  Resumes Sept 20th at IHOP, 229 Airport Rd., Arden.  We will draw for the Glock 43 at this meeting.  MAGA hats also now available. See below for further details.

It looks like WNC won't get the brunt of Hurricane Florence.  However, rain and gusty wind is predicted through the weekend.  Though a great disappointment for many of us who worked hard to make this happen, for safety sake and comfort, we are cancelling the We Read The Constitution event this Saturday, Sept 15th.

However, we are re-scheduling the event for Saturday, October 13th, 11AM  to 2PM at Jackson Park, Shelter 1, in Hendersonville.

October 13th:  At 11AM, the Red Wave Tsunami Elephant will kick off the event to Surfin' Music and photo ops.  Creator Miriam Chu is coming from Moore County to be with us but must leave at noon for another commitment later that day.

Background

Rep Mark Meadows can make it on October 13th, as well as NC Supreme Court Justice Barbara Jackson.  Emails and calls are being made to all candidates as you read this to hopefully get them re-scheduled for October 13th.

Fletcher Park is unavailable for the entire month of October so Fletcher Park was not an alternative.  Jackson Park was the only facility available.  October 13th is before early voting and not in the middle of it. In addition to 18 candidates coming whom you need to meet, we have 17 organizations, the GOP elephant coming from Moore County, ShBoom, a WWII jeep and all of you. With the change of date, we may even be able to round up a few more groups to attend. Shelter 1 at Jackson Park accommodates.

Glock 43 Gun Drawing

We promised to draw a winner for the gun at this Saturday's event.  As promised, we will STOP taking tickets this Saturday, September 15th.  We will draw for the gun at our next Tea Time Meeting on Thursday, September 20th at IHOP, 229 Airport Road, Arden.  Need not be present to win.  So you still have time to get on-line tickets!

We hope you  can make the October 13th date, beginning at 11AM with Surfin' Red Wave GOP Elephant for photo op.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but mother nature doesn't always cooperate with our plans!
