Climate Change

12/8/15: It's Tuesday afternoon, and here in the nation's capital Congress has quite a bit of work left to do before Friday’s government funding deadline. Another issue that could keep lawmakers working late is a package of approximately 50 tax-reducing policies. As world leaders continue to meet in Paris for a climate summit, we break down the numbers you need to know. Meanwhile, in neighboring Spain, a renewable energy company's troubles are causing job losses in America.

Here are 5 facts the left isn't trumpeting about Paris and climate change. In the midst of such self-induced high-pressure politics and the alleged immediacy of the situation, The Heritage Foundation's Katie Tubb shares a few numbers to keep in mind.

What the tax extenders bill should and shouldn't include. If reports about the impending package are accurate, the bill will fall short of achieving meaningful policy improvements. The Heritage Foundation's Curtis Dubay has more.

Another government-backed renewable energy giant is looking unstable. The ripple effects of the financially troubled Spain-based renewable energy giant Abengoa just slammed into its biofuel plants in the United States, reports Rob Nikolewski.

What we're reading: The Rio Grande Valley in Texas is seeing a new immigrant surge. Since Oct. 1, U.S. Border Patrol agents have apprehended 4,973 illegal immigrant children along the U.S.-Mexico border, including 3,036 in the Rio Grande Valley area, according to Border Patrol statistics. Click here to read the full article.

Global Warming

The false teachings of climate change

Everyone's a big fan of wilderness and nature and one has to recognize that unless we figure out a way to extend property rights to water and air there is a big role for government intervention.

You should be very skeptical of these environmentalists that desire to change our economic system to further these Global Environmental Claims of Climate Change.

Perhaps Climate Change is a real concern, but I don't trust the government to make these decisions and neither should you.

Please don't fall for the accusation that your a racist if you oppose this Agenda.

The world stopped getting warmer almost 16 years ago, according to new data released last week.

The figures, which have triggered debate among climate scientists, reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012, there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures.

This means that the ‘plateau’ or ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996. Before that, temperatures had been stable or declining for about 40 years.
