It looks like WNC won't get the brunt of Hurricane Florence. However, rain and gusty wind is predicted through the weekend. Though a great disappointment to many of us who worked hard to pull this off, for safety sake and comfort, we are cancelling the We Read The Constitution event this Saturday, Sept 15th.
However, we are re-scheduling the event for Saturday, October 13th, 11AM to 2PM at Jackson Park, Shelter 1, in Hendersonville.
October 13th: At 11AM, the Red Wave Tsunami Elephant will kick off the event to Surfin' music with ShBoom and photo ops. Creator Miriam Chu is coming from Moore County to be with us but must leave at noon for another commitment later that day.
