This is the letter sent ATP sent o to NCGOP on February 14, 2021 regarding their business dealings with Paul Shumaker, chief p0litical consultant of Richard Burr. Slimy Burr voted to convict President Trump on the second impeachment.
NCGOP is issuing a censure of Burr on Monday, 2/15/2021, a show vote. It means absolutely nothing. NCGOP has business dealings with Burr's chief political consultant, Paul Shumaker, who owns two companies. If the NCGOP is sincere (which we think is doubtful), they will divest their interests in Burr and his traitorous comrades. This is the letter ATP wrote to Michael Whatley and Staff of the NCGOP daring them to divest from Burr and his cohorts to prove they are truly with We The People. We hope they will. Dear Chairman Whatley and Staff:
It has come to our attention that the NCGOP is issuing a censure of Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) on Monday, 2/15/21. It's performative - like stamping your feet and having a hissy fit - 'Full of sound and fury signifying nothing.' For decades you - the GOP - has failed to hold our Republican officials accountable and to remind them that they work for WE THE PEOPLE. These RINOs work for K Street and not Main Street, and not for WE THE PEOPLE. You have sold us out. You have protected slime like Burr and Tillis.
A censure of Richard Burr from the NCGOP for his despicable betrayal of his oath to our Constitution and to represent the people, is a slap on the wrist. Show you actually stand with WE THE PEOPLE. I DEMAND - I dare you -the NCGOP to divest from doing any business with Paul Shumaker, Richard Burr's chief political consultant for decades, and his businesses, Capitol Communications and Strategic Partners Solutions. The NCGOP needs to stand with WE THE PEOPLE and not the special interests groups who, like Burr, have no regard for their oath to uphold our Constitution or represent the people. Shameful! History will not judge you favorably.
We will be watching to see what you do! You have failed the Conservative and Deplorables of North Carolina – those who actually adhere to your mission and party principles and voted for the greatest President of our Nation since George Washington – Donald Trump.
