Voter Integrity Project Legislative Goals for 2014 Short Session

These bills need sponsors.  See below for description and talking points.  Call your reps. 

1 - Observer Bill of Rights: 

Problem: VIP-NC has received numerous reports of Election Observers being abused by Chief Judges at their precincts and would like the Legislature to correct this problem (IAW HB 589, Section 11.2) during the 2014 “short” session.

 2 - Eliminate Curbside Loophole:

Problem: There appears to be an inadvertent loophole created in the revised election law that allows curbside voters to use non-photo ID documents instituted under the Help America Vote Act in place of the intended photo ID documents specified in HB 589.
