- Please be aware that “Federal law states that the Director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (which falls under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services), “shall consult” with state and local governments and voluntary non-profit agencies “concerning the sponsorship process and the intended distribution of refugees among the states and localities BEFORE their placement….” (See 8 U.S.C. § 1522(a)(2)(A))(emphasis added). - Get a copy of IRS tax returns. (Secretary of State for 501c3). (Guidestar.org. Search non-profit. You need to sign up for it. It’s free.)
