If you are a registered Republican in Henderson County, mark your calendars! Our Republican Party Precinct Meetings and County Convention are coming up in two weeks, to be held at Apple Valley Middle School.
These important meetings will run like this:
Doors open at 12:30 and I encourage everyone to get there when doors open.
The precinct meetings are in the cafeteria and start promptly at 1:00. Each precinct will have a table. This is the best way to get involved in the party and helping us elect good conservative Republicans.
You will go to the cafeteria and find your precinct table. If you don’t know what precinct you live in, you can look it up on line ( https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/ ), or you can call the office (828-693-6040) and leave a message. We can look it up for you and call you back.
Each precinct will hold its small meeting. The precinct chair will be elected. Delegates will be elected. Paperwork will completed and collected.
If you want to be a delegate, you will fill out the envelop provided with information and signature.
The precinct meetings end at 2:00.
The Convention starts at 2:30 in the Auditorium.
We will have some speakers, a resolution to vote on, and a change to the Plan of Organization to approve. Elections of new Party Officers will also be conducted.
The Convention is a no charge event; however, we are asking attendees to consider donating $15.00 to help offset the cost of the Convention.
You must be a County Delegate in order to qualify for State or District Delegate. You must be a delegate to vote in the County Convention. If you want to be a state Delegate, but cannot attend the County convention for good cause, please email me before March 9th with explanation.
I hope I see you there!
Merry Guy, Chair HCGOP
