Meet the Man Who Can Take Down Obamacare

Replace questions and misconceptions cleared up …

Some people don’t want to repeal ACA because they are convinced that “pre-existing” conditions will not be covered by a “replacement” and they are convinced that no replacement plan they have heard about includes “pre-existing.”   NOT SO.  This is fear mongering!

The “replacement” will be over time, through many pieces of legislation and free markets will most likely include pre-existing conditions because so many need and want it. This is not the first time people have brought up concerns over pre-existing conditions.

RSC replacement plan has a provision helping those with pre-existing conditions. Read more here: http://rsc.walker.house.gov/files/Initiatives/AHCRA%20-%20Two%20Pager%20115th%20Congress.pdf

Improving Access to Insurance for Vulnerable Americans

“This legislation will expand federal support for state high-risk pools to $25 billion over 10 years, providing a federalist solution to address a segment of the population that has been unable to obtain affordable insurance. Premiums in these state high-risk pools will be capped at 200% of the average premium in the state. The bill also guarantees that individuals with pre-existing conditions can move between health

insurance markets, so long as they maintain continuous coverage. Pre-ACA, individuals purchasing insurance in the individual market were protected from pre-existing condition exclusions only if they have not had a substantial break in coverage, their previous coverage was through an employer, and they fully exhausted COBRA coverage. This provision would allow individuals to receive those same protections regardless of the source of their prior coverage and without requiring them to exhaust COBRA coverage, which is often very expensive for both employees and employers.”

Rand Paul’s bill also has protections for those with pre-existing conditions. Read more here: https://www.paul.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/ObamacareReplacementActSections.pdf

Protecting Individuals with Pre-Existing Conditions: Provides a two-year open-enrollment period under which individuals with pre-existing conditions can obtain coverage. Restores HIPAA pre-existing conditions protections. Prior to Obamacare, HIPAA guaranteed
those within the group market could obtain continuous health coverage regardless of preexisting

It’s also important to remember that under Obamacare, individuals are receiving insurance cards but not good health care plans. Premiums are now hundreds of dollars a month and deductibles are close to $12,000 a year for a family. Repealing Obamacare will provide relief for millions of Americans and the replacement will allow people to get much cheaper health care plans that are right for their families.
