Liz Cheney vacating congressional seat on Tuesday after six years in Congress
Patriot News Alerts
Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY), who became notorious for siding with Democrats against former President Donald Trump, is vacating her congressional seat today. Cheney was crushed by 40 points in the August Republican primary and was set to leave her post on January 3rd. Cheney will return home in shame and reviled by her constituents after choosing to side with anti-American Democrats to engage in a witch hunt against Trump. Despite her trashed reputation, Cheney returns home incredibly wealthy with her net worth soaring from $7 million when she first took office in 2017 to possibly more than $44 million in 2020. Enriching herself using Americans Liz Cheney enriched herself immensely during her six years in Congress and was a fantastic example of what is wrong with American politics. Breitbart News investigated Cheney’s finances and found that her Personal Financial Disclosure form listed her declared net worth as anywhere from $10,422,023 to $44,140,000. It was also found that Cheney is in a trustee position at the University of Wyoming, has membership in a holding company, as well as a position in her family’s trust. The Cheney family was incredibly wealthy long before Liz Cheney was elected to Congress. Her father, Dick Cheney, has an estimated net worth of $150 million and served as Vice President to former President George W. Bush.
Cheney is also married to Philip Perry, a partner at Latham & Watkins law firm in Washington, DC, which has advised Chinese companies. Those connections alone make Cheney’s position in Congress questionable. Cheney didn’t even live in Wyoming despite representing the state for six years. She barely bothered to campaign in Wyoming during the primary and that may have been a large factor in her 40-point rout.
Cheney became addicted to the stardom she gained by selling her soul to the Democrat Party. She wasn’t fit to represent Wyoming nor was she fit to decide policy. Cleaning the Republican Party up
Wyoming dumping Liz Cheney in favor of Trump-endorsed Republican Harriet Hageman represents a crucial step towards cleaning out the RINO’s in the Republican Party. As for Cheney, her choice to side with Democrats and participate in the January 6th Committee yielded nothing. It cost her a political career and the final report failed to produce anything legally actionable against Trump.
Cheney went from the 3rd-most powerful Republican in the House to a complete pariah. There won’t be anywhere in the Democrat Party for her either, as she would never be accepted after demonstrating her lack of loyalty.
Cheney’s fall from grace will serve as a warning to any other Republicans thinking of selling their souls for media coverage and liberal adoration.
